The Science Oxford Centre based in Headington, Oxford delivers a broad range of Education and Engagement Strategies aimed at giving every schoolchild in the region the opportunity to be exposed to and inspired by both Science and Nature.
- The Centre is situated in a unique woodland setting, which allows young people to experience the natural world and develop a lasting enthusiasm for environmental science. It also gives the wider community access to a beautiful area to enjoy.
- Located at Stansfeld Park in the heart of urban Oxford, the site is a 15 acre oasis of woodland, complete with ponds, trails and grassland, all of which provides a wonderful variety of wildlife habitats.
- Stansfeld Park has become an important area for biodiversity and a showcase for how such rare resources can be managed. For this reason the Oxford Science Centre has engaged Nests 4 Nature to design, build, install and maintain over 20 nest boxes for both birds and mammals.
